WHAT IS THE EOCT?
The Economics end-of-course-test is a state-generated exam administered at the end of the economics course. It is developed and scored by the state of Georgia. The test covers the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) for economics which can be found here. As such, all lectures, notes, projects, and activities utilized in my classroom are based heavily on information contained within the GPS in order to ensure student success on the Economics EOCT. This is what it is important that students know and understand information contained within the Economics GPS. It is a two part test with a total of 80 multiple choice questions. The EOCT is worth 20% of each student's final grade -- therefore it is important that students take this test seriously. WHEN IS THE EOCT? The Economics EOCT is administered by computer in May. It is administered on a computer and scores are returned within minutes of completing the test. |
