  • About My Classes

Free Resources:

Below are resources for AP World History I am offering freely to either give you an idea of the type of course content I create, or because they are materials I adapted from other sources, therefore they do not belong to me.

I have an entire course worth of content for AP World History, including pacing guides, discussions, mini projects with rubrics, and presentations for almost every topic covered AP World History Course and Exam Description. In addition, I have resources to teach students how to write the LEQ and DBQ essays.

I also focus the my content, activities, and handouts on the five course themes: Environment, Cultural Developments, Governance, Economic Systems, Social Interactions & Organization, and Technology & Innovation. They also consistently address AP World's three historical reasonings skills: causation, comparison, and changes and continuities over time. These skills are woven into all of my lesson and presentations to ensure that students are practicing the skills they need to be successful on the AP World History exam.

Please visit the main page to learn about how to gain access to the rest of the resources on my website.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful and successful school year!

Emergency Substitute Plans

These plans were designed to be left with a substitute in case of a teacher emergency. They cover content from units 1-3 as those are early units you are likely to have already covered, so that you can use these plans throughout the school year as a review. I leave these with my department chair in case I have a true emergency and do not have time to create a lesson that covers what we are currently learning in class. I hope you find them useful and give you some peace of mind if you need to be absent.
